Together, we make care happen
Central West LHIN employs approximately 400 employees who share a patient-centred focus and commitment to provide the best possible patient care. A mosaic of geographic and cultural diversity, and home to over 922,000 local residents, the Central West LHIN plan, integrate, and fund local health care, as well as deliver and coordinate home and community care for the regions of Brampton, Caledon, Dufferin, Malton, north Etobicoke and west Woodbridge. The Central West LHIN works with people of all ages to ensure they can make informed choices about their care, when and where they need it.
On April 1, 2021, the Central West LHIN will begin operating under a new name, Home and Community Care Support Services Central West, with a focused mandate to ensure the ongoing stability of patient care, including home and community care and long-term care home placement. Health system planning and funding functions will also transfer to Ontario Health, the agency responsible for ensuring Ontarians continue receiving high-quality health care services where and when they need them. We’re looking forward to building an even stronger and more integrated health care system together.
We focus on recognition, morale and well-being through a variety of events and celebrations. Our goal is to acknowledge the richness of our employees’ diverse backgrounds, and to ensure every team member feels appreciated, confident and secure as they engage in their work within the community. Healthy workplace initiatives include an employee/family assistance program, employee leave programs, discounted recreational activities, along with a work-from-home policy to enhance productivity and efficiency.
