Together, we make care happen
Mississauga Halton LHIN employs over 500 employees to serve the second fastest growing population of seniors in Canada, and the third highest population of immigrants in the province. As a result, services are often requested in languages such as Italian, Portuguese, Tagalog and Cantonese.
On April 1, 2021, the Mississauga Halton LHIN will begin operating under a new name, Home and Community Care Support Services Mississauga Halton, with a focused mandate to ensure the ongoing stability of patient care, including home and community care and long-term care home placement. Health system planning and funding functions will also transfer to Ontario Health, the agency responsible for ensuring Ontarians continue receiving high-quality health care services where and when they need them. We’re looking forward to building an even stronger and more integrated health care system together.
We recognize the importance of a close-knit team and work hard to create a family-oriented culture through monthly CEO roundtables, holiday and cultural celebrations, and other recognition and appreciation events. Employees also receive a recognition toolkit that helps them celebrate their team members.
