Together, we make care happen
Toronto Central LHIN employs over 600 employees to serve a unique and diverse population of 1.5 million residents, including many low-income and single-parent families. We work with 24 hospitals, 150 community-based service agencies, 37 Long Term Care Homes, 22 Service Providers, and 13 Community Health Centres.
On April 1, 2021, the Toronto Central LHIN will begin operating under a new name, Home and Community Care Support Services Toronto Central, with a focused mandate to ensure the ongoing stability of patient care, including home and community care and long-term care home placement. Health system planning and funding functions will also transfer to Ontario Health, the agency responsible for ensuring Ontarians continue receiving high-quality health care services where and when they need them. We’re looking forward to building an even stronger and more integrated health care system together. www.torontocentrallhin.on.ca/boardandgovernance
In addition to employee recognition events and awards, we focus on building morale through feedback forums and the sharing of best practices, while the Work on Wellness Committee reminds team members to take care of themselves. Team-based events like the Yonge Street Mission Toy Drive provide further opportunities to give back to our communities.
