Together, we make care happen
Waterloo Wellington LHIN employs over 400 employees to provide care for almost 39,000 patients each year. Our work includes supporting transitions between hospital, adult day programs, long-term care, respite and convalescent care. We support more than 5,800 children each year and help an additional 30,000 patients through information and referral services.
On April 1, 2021, the Waterloo Wellington LHIN will begin operating under a new name, Home and Community Care Support Services Waterloo Wellington, with a focused mandate to ensure the ongoing stability of patient care, including home and community care and long-term care home placement. Health system planning and funding functions will also transfer to Ontario Health, the agency responsible for ensuring Ontarians continue receiving high-quality health care services where and when they need them. We’re looking forward to building an even stronger and more integrated health care system together.
We combine annual recognition events with social activities like BBQs and holiday parties to create a well-rounded culture. We also participate in the United Way campaign and offer healthy workplace initiatives such as walk week and fitness activities.
